The Moving Forward Wrap is shaped like a large arrow. I designed it during a time of personal transition when I had to make important and difficult decisions in order to move my life forward. I think working on this project as a community might help us move through 2020’s many layers of pain, loss, grief, illness, anxiety, loneliness, and uncertainty. Does this sound like your experience? You’re not alone. Many of us also live in areas where Shelter-In-Place orders are still active. Physical isolation does not have to be emotional isolation! Let's use this project as a means of craft therapy that produces a beautiful arrow-shaped wrap we can all wear as a sign of resilience. Please share this with a friend you think could use some community support.
The wrap is knit with fingering weight yarn. The original sample was knit using @avfkw Flock, and was published in their 2019 lookbook. You can also stash-bust, as the wrap has 5 sections that we will be working on over 5 weeks! We will have occasional check-ins over Zoom to ensure we stay on track and help each other move forward, not only with this project but in life too.
